Eagle Lake
Eagle Lake is a small lake located directly west behind Emerald Bay. The hike follows the waters that form
Eagle Falls of which there are two main falls; upper and lower. The lower portion being on the lake side of highway 89 and the upper portion located a short way up the trail to Eagle Lake. This hike has become a favorite among tourists because of its location and ease. There are a few steep climbs, but for the most part, it's an easy hike. Approaching the lake you can choose to pass the lake and hike on to the Velma Lakes about another 5 miles or so. It's been years since I've been to Eagle Lake because of the number of people who go there, but in the past I found several opportunities to visit the lake alone.
