Eagle Falls

Eagle Falls is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the Sierra Nevada Range. The falls originate at Eagle Lake about a mile east of Lake Tahoe behind Emerald Bay . There are basically two sections of Eagle Falls. One of them is about half way up the hike to Eagle Lake, and the other is on the west (Lake Tahoe) side of Highway 89 overlooking Emerald Bay. In the spring, these falls turn into liquid thunder above which no other sounds can be heard. As with Eagle Lake and Emerald Bay, this is a HUGE tourist attraction, so if you really want to enjoy this spectacle, go early in the season and early in the morning.
