SEASONS AT LAKE TAHOE

This link will probably have more pictures here than any other. Please be patient - I PROMISE, it'll be worth the wait!

Lake Tahoe is an area that never has a "bad time" time of year. No matter what day of the year I find myself there, I'm always glad to be there. In the dead of winter to the hottest day of the summer beauty abounds.

Again, the altitude at which the lake lies has a lot to do with the weather. Another major factor is the terrain - huge mountains and deep valleys allow differences in air temperature to accelerate rapidly from a mild breeze to a gale the likes of which are a wonder themselves.

In spring, the winter's soft, quiet blanket of white transforms into thundering volumes of water succumbing to gravity (or maybe it's the beauty of the lake that draws the winter thaw).

The snowfall that has been building up for months now is released drip by drip from the altitudes - each drop joining another racing to their beautiful destiny.
